Do You See Me Now?

Do You See Me Now is a set of photographs that showcase Black men from four generations. With many stigmas posed against Black males, from shortest life expectancy, implicit bias, and false stereotypes - the artist chose to capture the personality and humanness of these individuals. 

 

The black and white color tone draws on the irony of statements such as “I don’t see color.” Therefore, the photograph of the group of men together invites the viewer to see them. 

 

See them in their different hues, their age, their creation…
